Diet

I have no doubt that diet plays a huge roll in trichotillomania.  Now, we don't eat out (hardly ever) and I cook a lot at home, but that doesn't mean that we are always putting the healthiest meals in front of our children.  Yes, my daughter likes hot dogs and chicken nuggets and cheese and milk from time to time.  Could some of these processed foods or dairy be contributing to her disorder?  We had our first trip to the Naturopathic Dr. last week and I am learning a lot!  I've been reading up on Gluten Free Diets, Paleo Diet, Whole30 and the GAPS diet, and how eating the wrong foods can cause "leaky gut syndrome"  which affects the neurotransmitters in the brain.
I will update diet ideas when we get some test results back from the Dr!
